Don't miss the captivating show at MOA Indoor Gallery! It's a spectacle of light and design. Below is a video from the Lumonics Mind Spa at The Scarlet in Central City, CO. The spa features many pieces from Dorthy and Mel. Meeting Dorothy was a golden opportunity for me, living in Denver. She's one of our hidden treasures.
A fantastic night was had by all at the 94th birthday celebration and opening reception for Dorothy Tanner's Lumonics. It is a retrospective of Light-Based Sculpture by Dorothy and her late husband, Mel. I felt lucky to meet Dorothy and to see the passion she still has for the art that many consider way ahead of its time. The beginnings of this art started in the 1960s and is more relevant than ever. The light and sound applications are just beginning to be researched for mental health benefits.
Don't miss this fabulous show! It is a rare opportunity to see so many of the pieces together.
